Case Background

On May 9 and May 10, 2022, Talen Energy Supply, LLC and 71 affiliated debtors (collectively, the "Debtors") each filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas (Houston Division). The cases are pending before the Honorable Marvin Isgur, and are jointly administered under Case No. 22-90054. Talen Energy Corporation, Cumulus Growth subsidiaries, LMBE-MC Holdco II LLC and its subsidiaries, and Talen Receivables Funding (TRF) are not part of the filing.

Plan & Disclosure Statement

On September 9, 2022, the Debtors filed their Joint Plan of Reorganization and the Disclosure Statement related thereto.  The Bankruptcy Court will hold a hearing to consider approval of the Disclosure Statement on October 26, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. (prevailing Central Time).

Deadline to File Claims

The Bankruptcy Court has set the following deadlines for filing proofs of claim:

  • General Bar Date: August 1, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. (prevailing Central Time)
  • Governmental Bar Date: November 7, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. (prevailing Central Time)
